Reporting to the Electronic Assembly Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Counting and signing off materials received from stores
  • Ensuring correct parts are delivered in correctly labelled bins at correct location
  • Having good product knowledge to be able to distinguish between correct and incorrect parts
  • Being competent in the use of relevant hand tools and assembly jigs, in order to stand in for operators when leaving the line
  • Ensuring parts from stores are presented in the correct manner
  • Replenishing stock and removing empty bins from production lines timeously
  • Taking finished goods to finished goods staging area
  • Being able to fill and empty Kanban bins physically, and on the Kanban net
  • Communicating between Operator, Kanban, Stores and line Supervisors
  • Taking sub-assemblies to stores and ensuring MIGO’s are done
  • Taking pick lists to stores for picking
  • Returning empty bins to stores
  • Complying to 5S standards
  • Performing weekly stock counts of production stock to ensure stock accuracies
  • Informing supervisor or manager immediately of any discrepancies or quality issues
  • Printing labels for each production order
  • Adhering to general health and safety and housekeeping rule

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Matric
  • Previous experience in an electronic manufacturing environment
  • Basic SAP knowledge will be advantageous
