Manufacturing Design Engineer

that will be part of our company COMETA and that will be based in our location in Florence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and re-design of our new and existing assembly lines
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
  • High involvement in new product development process
  • Creation of necessary technical documentation and training materials
  • Constant assurance of respect of all related safety regulations
  • Close collaboration with the Production, Maintenance department and Project Teams
  • Being point of reference for colleagues in our manufacturing plants abroad
  • Installation of the mechanical parts of the machines
  • Support in the design of electrical panels and controls on board machine, with consequent drafting of electrical and pneumatic schemes
  • Support in ensuring the correct calibration status of the instruments used in the assembly and testing process

Key Requirements:

  • University Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment of at least 2 years in a same or similar position
  • Excellent skills in analyzing mechanical drawings
  • Good skills in designing mechanical components of a machine and pneumatic schematics
  • Knowledge in the use of Autocad and CAD 3D (NX, Solidworks, Solidedge)
  • Knowledge of the electrical field will be considered a plus
  • Good knowledge of English, written and spoken
  • Availability to travel on national and international sites
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change
