FAAC Technologies, world leader in access automation, parking systems and access control, counting on 53 sales companies in 29 countries, across 5 continents, more than 3.700 employees worldwide and 18 manufacturing plants is looking for an Electronic Firmware/Hardware Engineer that will be part of our R&D department in our HQ in Bologna.

The candidate will be work within a dynamic and innovative context inspired by the principles of Lean Thinking, characterized by teamwork and a streamlined decision-making processes.

The successful candidate will participate in all phases of product development and will be involved in electronic design activities for hardware and firmware aimed at developing electronic cards for vehicle and pedestrian access control, AC and DC electric motors, sensors and control devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify the technical specifications of the product
  • Plan design and development activities
  • Design the electronics and coordinate any activities with external studios or testing laboratories
  • Definition of product operating algorithms
  • Creation of source codes on microcontroller and debugging
  • Coordinate prototyping and conduct related verification and validation tests
  • Take care of industrialization

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent specialization.
  • Previous experience of 1-3 years in analog firmware or/and hardware development.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits, programming languages ​​for microcontrollers as C and C++, motor control techniques, EMC problems.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Interested in investigating and resolving all product related issues, from conception to production, beyond the purely electronic aspects.
  • Attitude to work towards objectives and the ability to integrate within a multidisciplinary teamwork
