We are recruiting an Assistant Financial Accountant to support the Finance manager in all accouting tasks and reports.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• To assist with financial accounting activities especially at month end e.g. prepayments and accruals
• To prepare & distribute daily order intake and service performance reports
• To carry out intercompany process each month
• Raising monthly intercompany recharge invoices
• To assist with cash book maintenance
• To carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliation
• To assist with quarterly internal audit
• Completion of National Statistic questionnaires
• Assist with year-end audit and audit preparation including dealing with Auditor queries and requests
• To undertake intercompany reconciliation during the month end process
• To carry out relevant CIS tax administration including reports to HMRC
• To manage the Company Barclaycard and employee expense returns
• To undertake other general/adhoc month end duties and report running.
• To assist with administration of the company vehicle fleet and fuel accounts
• To undertake the general office admin tasks
• Other adhoc duties as required
• To provide cover for the Finance Manager and other team members Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will:

Have a minimum of 2 years finance experiance preferably in construction or engineering including working with CIS and subcontractors
Have a good level of Excel and experiance of working on finance systems
Preferably have experience of SAP
Be a confident team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work accurately with a good attention to detail, have a desire to develop personally and be a quick learner
Have a mature, down to earth approach with a readiness to get involved
