We are recruiting a National Sales Manager to join our talented sales team. The main responsibilities of the role are to manage the UK new business external Sales team, to ensure that they meets the UK Sales Strategy.

As a National Sales Manager, you should use your creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth and providing clear and effective communication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting in setting annual sales targets and targeted accounts
  • Developing business plans for regional BDM’s
  • Lead, coach and manage 5 BDM’s for New Business Sales
  • Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships and understanding customer trends
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Negotiating agreements for contracts with customers and ensuring commerciality
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization
  • Lead and motivate staff to improve customer service with clients
  • Develop and promote weekly, monthly and quarterly sales objectives
  • Assess costs, competition, supply and demand to identify market selling prices
  • Meet with sales managers to assess company performance
  • Formulate weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecasts
  • Overseeing performance management of under-performing sales staff
  • Formulating annual commission schemes and monitor on a monthly basis
  • Working closely with all departments within the organisation
  • Implementing a Sales Excellence approach for best practise sales techniques throughout the department

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • To demonstrate a prolonged period of successful sales results
  • Experienced in selling and specifying a technical product
  • A high standard of commercial awareness
  • Have the ability to convey technical information precisely
  • PC literate and able to utilize all MS Office applications
  • Accustomed to professional use of CRM systems and disciplines
  • Be a confident presenter and used to presenting to large groups of people
  • Previous Field Sales experience, with strong emphasis on B2B
  • Possess a valid Passport or have Visa allowing unrestricted travel
  • Ensure confidentiality is respected and maintained in all matters relating to the company operations
  • Display at all times, a courteous and responsible attitude towards work colleagues and customers
  • Must be licensed to drive in the UK
  • Clear communication and people skills
