Job Description – Junior Network Engineer

FAAC Technologies, world leader in access automation, parking systems and access control, counting on more than 50 sales companies in 29 countries, more than 3.600 employees worldwide and 18 manufacturing plants is looking for a Junior Network Engineer.

The successful candidate will monitor and maintain functional IT systems with a focus for our HQ plant, but supporting also some external branches. In this role, you should have very good problem-solving attitude and a thorough knowledge of systems administration. You will operate in an international and dynamic context, so a good verbal and written English is requested to effectively run your daily activities.



Main responsibilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of the operation and configuration of computer networks
  • In-depth knowledge of the performance and security issues of IT systems
  • Knowledge of configuration of Microsoft systems
  • Cooperating in securing IT systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices
  • Experience in working with Firewall and switching devices
  • Run regular and extraordinary maintenances (patching and upgrade of existing systems, configuration of new systems)


Required Skills:

  • Degree or diploma in IT disciplines with at least 2-3 years of experience gained in multinational companies
  • Ideally in possession of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
  • Familiar with Network and transport protocols - (IP, TCP, UDP, etc.)
  • Capabilities in Routing, Switching and Wireless Cisco Technologies
  • Knowledge on managing WAF / Reverse proxies (ideally Kemp)
  • Managing Firewalls (Palo Alto)
  • Proactivity, results orientation and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
  • Very good communication skills (in Italian and English)

Considered as a plus:

  • Basic knowledge and practical experience in Microsoft Azure/AWS
  • Basic knowledge on Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Active Directory
  • Availability to do some business trips
  • Any Microsoft Certifications
