Maintenance Engineer

FAAC Electronics Limited is an electronic manufacturing site, located in the Citywest Business Campus (Dublin 24). We are the main electronic supplier for all the Business Units of the Italian group FAAC, world leader in access automation, parking and access control, including 32 sales companies, more than 2,500 employees worldwide and 18 production sites. Our 3 Business Units are:

  • ACCESS AUTOMATION (FAAC Simply Automatic) - automation for gates and barriers, entrances and automatic doors, motors for rolling shutters and screens, car parks.
  • ACCESS CONTROL (Magnetic) - systems with innovative solutions for access control, for both barriers and pedestrian passages.
  • PARKING TECHNOLOGY (Hub) - with intelligent and scalable solutions to control paid car parks.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance Department! The selected candidate, reporting to the Engineering Manager, will be working on many types of equipment, multiple projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams within the whole Engineering Department.

This role will operate on our evening shift and a successful candidate must be available to work between 16:20-00:20 Monday – Friday, for the initial training period (2-3 months) the successful candidate will be required to work our standard daily shift from 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday.

  • Carry out planned/unplanned maintenance on manufacturing equipment

· Troubleshooting and faultfinding of automatic & semi-automatic manufacturing equipment

· Execution of work orders generated by the computerized maintenance management system

· Assist in the optimization of new and existing processes and products

· To assist in the setting up of new equipment, facilities and use


  • A Diploma or Certificate in Electronic/Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • More than 3 years’ experience in the electronic manufacturing industry required
  • Proficient in MS office applications and general computer literacy would be a definite advantage
  • Knowledge of and experience of working with the following; Wave Soldering, SMD Placements, Reflow Ovens, Stencil Printers and Component Insertion Machines
