PARKING EQUIPMENT FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our HUB Parking Technology team.

You are an ideal candidate if you have previously worked on parking equipment, security system installations and service or access automation/control and you like working outdoors. This position will occasionally require 24/7 on call duties and occasional travel.

What we expect of you (as assigned and scheduled):

Onsite service and maintenance for our parking and access control hardware and software.

Provide support for multiple products.

Need to have knowledge of electronics and mechanical devices and PC computer skills

Work with various operating systems and have knowledge of networking.

Software and hardware support for clients and other field service technicians.

On occasion you may be asked to assist in the installation of our state-of-the-art Parking and Revenue Control system as well as Access Control equipment with other trained installation technicians (Installation duties include equipment bolt down, installation, wiring termination, establishing communications to software host, configuring and testing of new equipment under direction of a HUB Project Manager).

Systems Support for parking and access control hardware and software

  • Onsite systems support (Hardware / Software)
  • Remote systems support (Phone or remote login support)
  • Document systems faults and resolution
  • Escalate and follow-up issues until resolution

Systems installation and Commissioning

  • On Site hardware installation
  • System commissioning
  • Basic customer training

Provide Preventative Maintenance

  • Onsite hardware and software maintenance
  • Remote software maintenance and health check

Project coordination

  • Under the direction of the Project Manager, coordinate and deal with sub-contractors and customer

Bench Work

  • Repair Automated parking devices

Requirements / Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Min 2 or 3 years post-secondary education,

( Electronics or Computer Engineering Technician / Technologies ) preferred

  • Ability to work on proprietary software
    • knowledge of supporting web based (IIS) applications
    • Hardware communications and programming
  • Computer Technology Background
    • Knowledge of Electronics a plus
    • Knowledge of Mechanical hardware a plus
  • Light user training skills
  • Ability to handle National travel and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Electronics and Mechanical experience are necessary
  • Comprehension of relay logic, firmware inputs and outputs
