FAAC Electronics Limited is an electronic manufacturing site, located in the Citywest Business Campus (Dublin 24). We are the main electronic supplier for all the Business Units of the Italian group FAAC, world leader in access automation, parking and access control, employing more than 2.500 employees worldwide in 18 production sites. Our 3 Business Units are:

  • ACCESS AUTOMATION (FAAC Simply Automatic) - automation for gates and barriers, entrances and automatic doors, motors for rolling shutters and screens, car parks.
  • ACCESS CONTROL (Magnetic) - systems with innovative solutions for access control, for both barriers and pedestrian passages.
  • PARKING TECHNOLOGY (Hub) - with intelligent and scalable solutions to control paid car parks.


We are seeking a flexible and diligent IT Support Technician to join our IT Department! The selected candidate will work with the IT Manager in Dublin as well as our Corporate IT based in Bologna to provide continuous technical support to internal users, ensuring the smooth running of IT infrastructures on a daily basis.


  • Provide first and second level support, both to on-site and to remote/field users.
  • Maintain ticketing of all user issues, IT operations tasks, and projects using the Help Desk portal.
  • Provide technical support for Windows, Office, and company applications.
  • Install, configure and maintain computer hardware and software
  • Install, configure and maintain networking, mobile devices, printers, and phone equipment.
  • Servers’ management: rights management, access, backups, security, etc.
  • Maintain current servers and services that are in production.
  • Open calls to third party providers detailing issues and troubleshoot with them.
  • Ensure the proper application of the IT security policy and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Manage user accounts (creation, termination, password reset, etc.)
  • Ensure the good management of IT stock and software licenses.
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Maintenance and execution of daily procedures and processes
  • Assist in orienting new staff to the IT systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Coordinate with other offices in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of company IT standards.
  • Support the rollout of new technologies software

Education and Experience

  • Third level qualification in IT/Computer Science with 2+ years’ experience in a similar environment


  • MCSE OR MCP qualification with 4 years’ in a similar environment
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
