General Summary

Engineers to carry out installation works for all entrance systems to a high standard, ensure working to the company health & safety standards. To engage with on-site customers. Compete paperwork in a timely fashion including full risk assessment and signed worksheets.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working with a team or teams installing and managing the installation of FAAC door systems, shutters & air shields

• Manage special projects – Planning, executing, monitoring, and completion of bespoke projects

• To undertake all necessary pre-installation checks

• Compliance of Installation work instructions

• To liaise with client, other trades, and third parties as indicated on work instructions

• To install equipment in line with company standards and current regulations

• To complete all post installation & commissioning checks

• Support with warranty resolution

• Support of the handover process to client including site training in the use of installed products

• To keep in good working order any tools, equipment, or vehicles supplied by the company

• Supporting the business on an ad-hoc basis as required where appropriate ie; attending pre-order meetings in the office, site meetings, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• EN16005 authorised technician

• Construction Skills Certification Scheme, Skilled Worker Certified

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Installation experience of door systems & shutters

• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for meeting the requirements of the role and satisfying customers

• Practical problem solver and open to overcoming daily challenges

• Able to take initiative i.e. proactive, self-driven and able to standalone

• High technical competency with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies

• FAAC product knowledge is preferable

• Practical engineering expertise including field engineering skill

• Clear and concise verbal communicator

• Comfortable communicating via telephone

• Commercially aware and cost focused

• Customer focused

• A team player that can work well with everyone

• Patient and calm under pressure

• IT literate

Special Competencies required:

• EN16005 certificate essential

• CSCS Accredited

• SSSTS qualification - preferable
